The UK is ready to advance with employing the entire amount of frozen Russian funds to bolster the Ukrainian defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a shared declaration, the officials of the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany emphasized that this unified step would heighten pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and persuade Russia to participate in talks.

They added that the initiative would be executed in tight collaboration with the America.

United Kingdom sanctions have frozen over £25bn of Russia's assets since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, previously, money allocated to Ukraine using Russian funds had solely been drawn from gains and dividends earned on them.

Sir Keir assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany were in agreement in their goal to drive progress toward employing the full value of the seized Moscow's national assets to halt hostilities.

He noted that additional restrictions soon would increase the strain on Russia.

This statement comes after European Union leaders gathered in the Danish capital recently to discuss employing seized Russia's assets for a €140 billion financial aid to Ukraine.

Last month, President Donald Trump encouraged G7 allies to take or utilize frozen Russian assets, based on media sources.

The worth of seized Russia's assets in the European Union is assessed to be nearly €211bn.

The Russian government launched widespread bombardments all over the Ukrainian territory on that day, resulting in electricity outages in many areas of Kyiv, the city, and eight other regions.

Two people were killed and a minimum of 20 people were injured in the attack, the Ukrainian government stated.

In a update on an online platform after the attack, Zelensky commented that the strategic strike targeted civilian and energy infrastructure.

Also on Friday, Zelensky told the press he would urge Sir Keir to enter the PURL program, under which partner nations acquire weapons from the United States to donate to Ukraine.

While praising the Britain's strong support for Ukraine, he remarked it should demonstrate clearly that it would engage in the program, as well as impose more measures on the Russian Federation.
