Iran Reports Attack on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in response for a significant and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any destruction is uncertain and the US has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - stated they have shot down incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was striking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That initial attack - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck locations linked to the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military said it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with high efficiency and shot down a number of missiles," it added.
It said debris landed in a populated district in the capital, resulting in some structural damage and killing a civilian.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
